๐ From The Desk Of Andrew Cass
Here's what I'm seeing everywhere right now...
Business owners who've been using AI for months โ some even a year โ and their outputs haven't gotten any better.
Same quality. Same effort. Same starting-from-scratch energy every single time.
They're not building systems. They're renting speed.
And the problem isn't the tools. It's the approach.
Most people are treating AI like Google โ fire off a prompt, get a result, move on. But the ones actually scaling with AI? They stopped prompting and started training.
They built context once. Now it compounds.
This week's Main Event breaks down exactly why your AI keeps forgetting everything โ and how to fix it in 15 minutes. Plus, starting this week, we'll be including a beautiful infographic to bring The Implementation Blueprint section to life.ย
And as always, this week's Top Reads connect to the bigger picture: Harvard Business School breaks down the trends shaping 2026, from tariff pressures to the rise of 10x founders who operate at a whole new velocity. PNC walks through how business owners can diversify wealth beyond their core business using vehicles most people overlook. And Entrepreneur lays out ten science-backed habits โ sleep, muscle, stillness โ that separate sustainable high performers from burnout casualties.
The through-line?ย
Systems beat hustle. Context beats prompts. Compounding beats starting over.
Let's go!

๐ข The Main Event
โThe Context Collapse: Why Your AI Keeps Forgetting Everythingโ
Every week, we break down the big-picture strategy behind the shifts happening in businessโso you can see around corners while others are still catching up.

You've been using AI for months now. Maybe longer.
You've written emails, generated ideas, drafted proposals, summarized documents. You've gotten decent outputs. Sometimes great ones.
But here's the problemโฆ
Every single time you ask AI to do something, you're starting from scratch.
You re-explain your business. Your voice. Your standards. Your preferences. The context that makes the output actually useful.
And because you're starting from zero every time, the results stay inconsistent. Some outputs nail it. Others miss completely. You spend half your time cleaning up what AI gives you because it doesn't actually know you or your work.
Here's what most people don't realizeโฆ
The prompt isn't the problem. The context is.
And if you don't fix that, AI will never get better at your work. It'll just keep forgetting everything.
The Illusion Of Progress
Let me show you what's happeningโฆ
You've been "using AI" for six months. You've built up a collection of favorite prompts. You've gotten faster at asking for what you need. You know which tools work best for which tasks.
That feels like progress.
But here's the realityโฆ
Your AI today is exactly as good as it was on day one. Because every interaction is a blank slate.
When you ask ChatGPT to write an email, it doesn't remember the last fifty emails you wrote. It doesn't know your tone, your audience, your standards for what makes a good email.
When you ask Claude to analyze a document, it doesn't recall the frameworks you prefer, the questions you always ask, the structure you want in the output.
Every. Single. Time. You start over.
Itโs very frustrating at times.
This is the Context Collapse.
And it's costing you more than you thinkโฆ
The Hidden Tax
Here's what the context collapse actually costs:
Time
You spend 80% of your effort on setup and only 20% on refinement. You're re-explaining the same things over and over. "Write this in my voice." "Use this framework." "Follow this structure." That's not leverage. That's maintenance.
Consistency
Because the context changes slightly with every prompt, the outputs drift. One email sounds sharp. The next sounds generic. One analysis nails your standards. The next misses the mark. You can't scale inconsistency.
Quality
AI's best work comes from deep context. The more it knows about your business, your voice, your expectations, the better it performs. But if you're starting fresh every time, you're capping the ceiling on what it can deliver.
And here's the real kickerโฆ
You're treating AI like a search engine when you should be treating it like an employee.
When you hire someone, you don't re-explain the job every single day. You train them once. You give them context, standards, examples. They get better over time because the context compounds.
That's how AI should work too.
But most people never build the context. So AI never improves.
What Winners Are Building
The operators who are actually scaling with AI aren't prompting better. They're building context that persists.
Let me give you an example โ starting with how I do it and advise my team to use AI.
I typically run two systems depending on the task:
For ChatGPT: We build Custom GPTs for specific functions. One for client proposals. One for content strategy. One for sales outreach. Each GPT is loaded with my voice documentation, frameworks, and example outputs. I don't re-explain myself. I just feed in the variables and the GPT applies everything it already knows about how I work.
For Claude: We use Skills and Projects. Skills hold my documented frameworks โ my newsletter voice, consulting methodologies, standard processes. Projects keep specific workstreams in dedicated threads, so the context builds over time. When I'm working on this newsletter, for instance, everything lives in one Project. Claude remembers past issues, my editorial standards, the themes we've already covered. The conversation compounds.
The difference isn't the prompt. It's the context.
Now let me show you what this looks like for others...
I know a consultant who used to spend 30 minutes crafting every client proposal. He'd open ChatGPT, describe the client's situation, explain his methodology, ask for a draft, then spend another 20 minutes editing it to sound like him.
Every. Single. Proposal.
Then he built a Custom GPT.
He loaded in:
His exact proposal structure
Three examples of his best work
A voice guide documenting his tone and style
His standard frameworks and methodologies
The questions he always asks during discovery
Now?
He feeds the GPT the client details and gets a proposal that's 90% ready in two minutes. Same voice. Same structure. Same quality.
The difference isn't the prompt. It's the context.
Another operator I know runs a content agency. She used to prompt AI separately for every blog post, social caption, and email. Different instructions every time. Wildly inconsistent outputs.
Now she's built Skills for each content type. Each Skill contains:
Brand voice documentation
Content frameworks
Example outputs
Editorial standards
Her team loads the Skill, feeds in the topic, and gets on-brand content in minutes. Consistency went from 60% to 95% overnight.
Same tools. Different system.
Why Nobody Teaches This
Here's why most people never build persistent contextโฆ
It requires upfront work.
You have to document your voice. Capture your frameworks. Save examples of your best work. Structure your standards in a way AI can reference.
That takes time. Maybe an hour. Maybe two.
And most people don't want to invest that time when they can just "prompt and go."
But here's the math:
If you spend two hours building context once, you save five minutes on every future interaction.
After 25 interactions, you've broken even.
After 100 interactions, you've saved 8+ hours.
After a year? You've saved weeks.
But most people never do the math. They just keep re-explaining themselves every single time.
As the saying goes: โmeasure twice, cut once.โย
The Compound Effect
Here's what happens when you build persistent contextโฆ
Your outputs get better. AI isn't guessing at your voice or standards anymore. It knows them. So the first draft is closer to what you actually want.
Your speed increases. No more 10-minute setup on every prompt. You feed in the variables, AI applies the context, and you're reviewing outputs in seconds.
Your consistency stabilizes. Same voice. Same structure. Same quality. Every time. That's what makes AI scalable.
Your team can use it. When the context lives in a GPT or Skill, anyone on your team can access it. Your junior people start producing at senior-level quality because the standards are baked in.
That's the shift.
From prompts that reset every time to systems that compound over time.
The Bottom Line
AI doesn't have a memory problem. You have a context-building problem.
Every time you start from scratch, you're choosing to cap AI's ceiling. You're choosing inefficiency over leverage. You're choosing maintenance over systems.
The operators who are winning with AI right now aren't the ones with better prompts. They're the ones who stopped prompting and started training. They built the context once. And now AI gets better every time they use it.
That's not a feature. That's a strategy.
And if you're still starting from zero every time, you're already behind.
The fix?
Build your first context library this week.
Below, in this weekโs Implementation Blueprint, I'll show you exactly how to do it in less than 15-minutes!

๐ก Your Implementation Blueprint
Here's where strategy meets action. Each week, we give you the tactical steps to implement what you just learnedโso you can capitalize on the insight immediately.

How to Build Your First Context Library (In 15 Minutes)
You now understand the problem: AI keeps forgetting everything because you're starting from scratch every time.
Here's the fix. One task. One context library. Done in 15 minutes.
Step 1: Identify Your Level (2 Minutes)
Before you build anything, figure out where you currently are:
Level 1: One-Off Prompts
Every interaction is isolated. You're typing "Write me an email" or "Summarize this document" with zero persistent context.
Level 2: Improved Prompts
You've gotten better at adding detail. "Write a cold email to agency owners in the $2M-$5M range. Keep it under 150 words. Lead with a pain point." Better outputs, but still starting from zero every time.
Level 3: Persistent Context
You've built reusable systems. Custom GPTs. Skills. Projects. The AI knows your business, your voice, your frameworks. Context compounds.
Your move: Write down which level you're at right now. Be honest.
If you're at Level 1 or 2, you're about to jump to Level 3 in the next 13 minutes.
Step 2: Pick ONE Repeatable Task (3 Minutes)
Don't try to systematize everything at once. Pick the one task you do most often that takes the longest to set up.
Good candidates:
Client proposals or quotes
Email responses (cold outreach, client updates, follow-ups)
Content briefs or blog post outlines
Meeting summaries or client notes
Social media captions in your voice
The test: If you're doing it more than twice a week and re-explaining the same context every time, it's a winner.
Write it down. One task. That's your target.
Step 3: Document the Essentials (5 Minutes)
Open a doc and capture the four pieces of context AI needs to replicate your work:
1. What the output should look like
Paste 1-2 examples of your best work on this task. Don't overthink it. Just grab what's already good.
2. Your voice/tone
Write 3-5 bullet points. Are you formal or casual? Short sentences or detailed explanations? Direct or consultative?
3. Your structure/framework
If there's a repeatable format (proposal sections, email structure, content outline), document it. Bullet points are fine.
4. Your standards
What makes a good output vs. a bad one? Length? Tone? Level of detail? Write it down.
Time cap: Set a timer. Five minutes. Done is better than perfect.
Step 4: Load It Into the Right Tool (5 Minutes)
Now take that context and put it somewhere AI can access it every time.
For ChatGPT users:
Create a Custom GPT. Go to "Explore GPTs" โ "Create" โ paste your context into the instructions. Name it after the task (e.g., "Client Proposal Writer"). Save it.
For Claude users:
If you have access to Projects, create a new Project for this task and paste your context in the Project instructions. If you're using Skills, save your context as a Skill file and reference it when needed.
For either platform:
You can also use Custom Instructions (ChatGPT) or add the context directly to your conversation at the start of a new thread.
Pick the method that fits your workflow. The tool doesn't matter. The persistent context does.
Test it once: Feed in the variables for a real task and see what comes back.
What Success Looks Like
When you finish this, you'll have one reusable context library that eliminates 80% of your setup time on that task.
No more re-explaining your voice. No more describing your standards. No more starting from scratch.
You built the context once. Now AI applies it every time.
That's 15 minutes to create a system that saves you five minutes on every future use.
After ten uses, you've already saved 35 minutes.
After 100 uses? You've saved over eight hours.
And here's the real win: you can repeat this process for every repeatable task in your business.
One context library at a time. One 15-minute block at a time.
That's how you stop prompting and start training.
