๐Ÿ“ From The Desk Of Andrew Cass

Here's a question most business owners have never been asked...

If every client stopped paying you tomorrow, how long would the lights stay on?

Not a guess. An actual number.

Most owners couldn't answer it. The ones who think they can usually overestimate it, sometimes by a lot.

That number quietly decides more than you'd expect: which clients you keep, which deals you take, and how you sleep the week a big payment shows up late.

And growing the business doesn't automatically fix it. For a lot of owners, it does the opposite.

The Main Event this week is about the one date every business has and almost no owner knows.

Do you know yours?

Let's go!

What's Your Tech Stack Really Costing You?

Here's the ugly truth: the average business owner is running 6 to 12 software subscriptions right now. Overlapping tools. Duplicate features. Money bleeding out every single month between $400 and $1,600 โ€” and they have no idea it's happening.

So we built something to expose it. A proprietary SaaS Calculator designed specifically to help business owners cut waste and increase cash flow โ€” it rips your entire tech stack apart in seconds and shows you exactly what you can reclaim starting today.

Most owners are shocked when they see their own number, and even more shocked to find $500 to $1,000 of it was pure waste they could've cut months ago.

Brace yourself!

๐Ÿ“ข The Main Event

"Your Business Has An Expiration Date"

Every week, we break down the big-picture strategy behind the shifts happening in businessโ€”so you can see around corners while others are still catching up.

Every business has an expiration dateโ€ฆ

Not the day you sell it. Not the day you retire. The day the money runs out if nothing new comes in.

Most business owners have never calculated theirs. They know their revenue, their margin and their cost per lead. But ask how many days the business could keep paying its bills if every payment stopped tomorrow, and you get a blank stare.

That number is the most important figure on the wealth side of your business. For most owners, it's a lot smaller than they think.

The Number Nobody Tracks

JPMorgan Chase Institute dug into real bank account data from businesses across the country. It measured something it calls cash buffer days: how many days of normal outflows a business could cover from cash on hand if money stopped coming in.

The typical business held 27 days. A quarter held fewer than 13.

Labor-heavy businesses, like personal services and repair, came in at 23 days. Businesses carrying payroll held just 18.

Under three weeks. That's the cushion standing between most businesses and a crisis.

Profit Is Not Cash

This is where smart owners get caught.

You can be profitable and still be weeks from trouble. Profit is an accounting result. Cash is what's in the bank on Friday when payroll hits.

The gap between the two is timing. Your biggest client pays 45 days late. A slow month lands right after a new hire. A client worth 30 percent of revenue decides to "go another direction."

None of that shows up as a loss on your P&L. All of it shows up in your bank balance, immediately.

A business with 20 days of cash doesn't need a disaster to fail. It needs one bad month.

Growth Makes It Worse

This is the part that surprises people: the bigger the business gets, the shorter the runway often becomes.

More revenue usually brings more overhead. Another hire. A bigger software bill. More contractors. Every dollar of fixed cost you add raises your daily burn. Unless the reserve grows with it, your expiration date moves closer even while revenue climbs.

Spend $40,000 a month with $30,000 in the bank and you have 22 days. Double your spending to $80,000 a month, keep the same $30,000, and the runway drops to 11 days.

Twice the business. Half the cushion.

Find The Date

Say your business spends $40,000 a month on payroll, rent, software, contractors and everything else.

That's about $1,333 a day.

You have $30,000 in the operating account. Divide it by $1,333 and you get 22 days.

That's your expiration date: 22 days from the moment revenue stops.

Now set a target of 90 days. At $1,333 a day, that's roughly $120,000 in reserve, so you're about $90,000 short.

That looks impossible. It isn't. On $60,000 a month in revenue, set aside 10 percent of every deposit and you add $6,000 a month to the reserve. You reach 30 days in about two months, 60 days in about eight and 90 days in about fifteen.

Where The Reserve Lives

Keep it out of the operating account. Cash you see every day is cash you'll spend. Open a separate business savings account, ideally at a different bank, and move the reserve there.

This money is not an investment. It doesn't belong in the market, where a downturn could cut it in half right when you need it. Its only job is to be there, in full, on the worst day of the year. Interest is a bonus. Access is the point.

Why This Is A Wealth Move

Most owners think of cash reserves as defense, insurance against the bad month.

It's also offense.

An owner with 90 days of cash makes different decisions. They can fire the client who's draining the team. They can hire ahead of growth instead of behind it. They can walk away from a bad deal, or move fast on a good one while everyone else waits on a bank.

An owner with 20 days of cash makes every one of those decisions out of fear. They keep the bad client. They take the discount. They say yes when they should walk away.

Wealth isn't just what you earn. It's how much time you can buy when things go sideways. Your buffer days are exactly that: time, measured in days.

Know Your Number

You can't fix a number you've never seen.

In Your Implementation Blueprint below, you'll calculate your own expiration date in 5 minutes using one bank statement, then set the target that moves it out of the danger zone.

๐Ÿ’ก Your Implementation Blueprint

Here's where strategy meets action. Each week, we give you the tactical steps to implement what you just learnedโ€”so you can capitalize on the insight immediately.

Find Your Expiration Date In 5 Minutes

All you need is last month's business bank statement.

Step 1: Total Last Month's Outflows (2 Minutes)
Add up everything that went out: payroll, rent, software, contractors and card payments. Leave out one-time purchases you won't repeat.

Step 2: Find Your Daily Burn (30 Seconds)
Divide that total by 30. For example, $40,000 รท 30 = $1,333 a day.

Step 3: Find Your Date (30 Seconds)
Divide your current cash balance by your daily burn. For example, $30,000 รท $1,333 = 22 days. Write it down.

Step 4: Set Your Target (2 Minutes)
Multiply your daily burn by 90. That's your reserve goal. Then pick a percentage of every deposit, even 5 percent, to move into a separate reserve account starting this week.

What Your Number Means

  • Under 30 days: Danger zone. One bad month away from trouble.

  • 30 to 60 days: Exposed. You'd survive a hit, barely.

  • 60 to 90 days: Getting there. Keep building.

  • 90+ days: You're buying time and making decisions from strength.

The quick win: In 5 minutes, you'll know exactly how long your business lasts without a single new payment, and you'll have already started pushing that date out.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Quote Of The Week

The Biggest Shift In Websites Since The Website Itself

Since the day the first website went live, a website could do exactly one thing with a visitor: wait. Look nice. List the services. Hope for a phone call that, in 2026, isn't coming.

That's over. Thanks to AI, a website can now greet every visitor, answer their questions in real time, and book them on a calendar at 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning. It's the most impactful experience a website visitor has ever had, and more than 70 percent of websites still don't offer it. Most of the ones that think they do have a widget: a bubble that collects a message and waits for Monday.

The ENGAGE MasterClass shows business owners how to build the real thing. Two hours with Andrew Cass and Ahmer Zaman, CTO of VektorOS, on how a fully trained AI website chatbot works, how it learns a business, the prompting that makes it perform from day one, and how to have the whole thing done for you if building isn't your thing. Plus the Script Vault, the website audit, and a one-on-one assessment with Ahmer. Lifetime access. 30-day money-back guarantee.

Most of your competitors haven't moved yet. That window is open right now.
